- We are at 1443 Wellington Crescent in Winnipeg. I know what you're thinking! No, it's not that part of Wellington. It's not a mansion. We're just west of Lanark, on the river. There should be ample parking on the other side of the street or around the corner on Lanark.
- Concerts start at 8:00 pm sharp and usually consist of two sets, ending at around 10:00.
- The ticket price is set by the band and all the proceeds go directly to them. Payment is by e-transfer in advance to pwschott@gmail.com. Cash at the door can also be accepted, but by prior arrangement only please.
- These are BYOB events! We will have some soft drinks and coffee available, but otherwise, bring your own beverages.
- Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors generally open at 7:30.
- The atmosphere is both intimate and relaxed. These are very casual events, and interaction with the band is welcome.
- Kids are welcome too, but let us know first please.
- Seating is limited, so if you clicked "going" on the Facebook events page, please also contact us directly by email at schottlandhouseconcerts@gmail.com or through Facebook Messenger to confirm that you are coming and how many tickets you will need.
- Please let us know as soon as possible if you have reserved tickets but it turns out you can't make it. We often have a wait-list and would like to be able to use it to fill your seat.
The Schottland Story
Schottland hosts small concerts roughly three times a year in an old house on the Assiniboine River in Winnipeg. Our focus is on local musicians performing mostly original material. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and intimate.
(About the odd name: "Schottland" is German for Scotland. My last name is Schott and Schottland House Concert's co-coordinator, Al Shankie, is Scottish. We met at a German pre-school our kids attended.)
